**Agape Animal Rescue and Training Center Awarded $8,000 Grant by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee**

Nashville, TN – November 22, 2023

The Agape Animal Rescue and Training Center team is honored to announce that we were awarded $8,000 from The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) in support of our life-saving programs and sustainability efforts. More than 600 organizations applied for support during this grant cycle and we are so grateful that our programs were selected. This donation is directly supported by the CFMT managed Patricia & Edward J. McGavock Humane Treatment of Animals Fund as they too believe in the transformative benefits of pet ownership. Kate Derrick, long time supporter of Agape, knows first hand how important dogs are for a person’s mental well being as she shares her own experience.

“I have adopted three dogs and fostered two more—all senior dogs—through Agape Animal Rescue and Training Center. I adopted my first dog, a senior Basset Hound mix, from Agape in 2011, and I have been a proud supporter of the organization ever since. I’m eternally grateful for the work of Tanya Willis and the Agape team in their work to provide homes and wonderful lives for homeless pets.”Kate Derrick, Adopter/Senior Dog Supporter (pictured here with Lady)

Agape is dedicated to finding forever families for abandoned and displaced dogs through our signature foster and adoption program while cultivating better communities through dog training, owner education, and outreach programs. We are so thankful to be able to further our mission with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s support.
