Lauren Dougall serves as Agape’s Board of Director President. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Development and International Relations from London Metropolitan University and holds a diploma in Fundraising Management from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Lauren has experience in grant writing – writing and obtaining grants of over $1m — fundraising events; individual giving and major donor fundraising. Lauren also possesses skills such as strategic planning and board development that the Agape team is excited to embrace as we continue on a mission to grow our programs and save more lives in our community.
Although most of her nonprofit experience has been with human services organizations, she has always been a lover of animals and nature. Lauren was inspired to get more involved in the world of animal rescue after she and her husband Stuart adopted a very special dog, Otto. Although he is no longer with them, they are dedicated to saving the lives of other dogs like him in any way they can. Lauren and Stuart continue to care for their beloved “foster fail”, Dori, and two rescue cats, Maggie and Bobo. Lauren enjoys being involved in Nashville’s nonprofit community, eating great food, traveling, and hiking – usually with husband and dog in tow!
