Meet Pippa!

Want a puppy without the hard part? Pippa is the perfect fit for you! This sweet shepherd mix is just around 5 months old with a bright mind and a gentle, loving personality. Like her sister Sadie (also adoptable), she has been working her way through an intensive training program with Retrieving Independence (a Nashville-based nonprofit that trains service dogs in a prison-based training program). There, she’s been working on the essentials: housebreaking, crate training, leash manners, socialization, basic cues, and more.

That means Pippa’s future family gets to enjoy the best parts of puppyhood—playtime, snuggles, and adventures—without starting completely from scratch. Upon adoption, her family will receive a list of the specific cues she’s already mastered so her training can stay consistent at home.

Pippa is affectionate, eager to learn, and ready to soak up love from her people. With her mix of puppy sweetness and polished manners, she’s truly the best of both worlds.
