MEET BUG – Coming Soon!!

Bug’s story is one of heartbreak, survival, and incredible resilience. This precious approximately one-year-old Cockapoo endured something no animal ever should—she was senselessly shot not once, but multiple times. One bullet shattered her elbow beyond repair, forcing the amputation of her front right leg. Another bullet nearly pierced her spine, leaving us to wonder how she even survived. Her suffering was brutal and unimaginable, yet Bug’s spirit has proven unbreakable.

Thankfully, the incredible staff at Wilson County Animal Control stepped in to save her. They are now working closely with the Wilson County Sheriff to find the person responsible for this horrific act of cruelty and get justice for sweet Bug.

Despite everything she has endured, Bug is showing us what true courage looks like. She is now safe in a loving foster home, healing both physically and emotionally. Though understandably a little nervous around new people, her sweet nature is already shining through. She leans into gentle affection, and her resilience is nothing short of inspiring.

Bug’s journey reminds us that love and kindness can triumph over even the darkest cruelty. She has been through so much in her short life, and she deserves only the very best from here on out. Once she is fully recovered, we will begin the search for the forever family who will cherish her and give her the safe, happy life she has always deserved.

Bug may have lost a leg, but she hasn’t lost her will to live, her capacity for love, or her hope for a brighter tomorrow. Her forever begins soon—and we can’t wait to see her shine.
