Lindsey Farrar is a Marketing Coordinator at Journeys and serves as an Agape Ambassador. The Nashville-native has been an animal lover since childhood, and has worn many hats since joining the Agape family in 2013 including board member, foster, event committee member, volunteer, and fundraiser.
After graduating high school from Brentwood Academy, Lindsey went on to study at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she got her bachelor’s degree in marketing. During her time at UT, she completed her business school internship at the Knoxville Zoo, “with no pay but a beautiful ‘office,’” says Lindsey.
Lindsey currently has her hands full with three rescue pets, Jackson, Lola and Me-Mow. She found Jackson, “a small terrier mix with a huge personality,” as a puppy in college. Lindsey adopted Lola, an American Eskimo, from a shelter after animal control picked her and her deceased mate up in Kentucky. Me-Mow, “the tiny Siamese assassin,” was adopted from Nashville Cat Rescue.
Lindsey’s previous position at Genesco Inc. allowed her to be involved in the company’s corporate giving and community efforts. At the encouragement of Genesco, Lindsey completed Nashville’s Young Leaders Council training program, which is followed by a year-long internship with a community non-profit. “I chose Agape because of my love for animals and longtime desire to help out a cause I am so passionate about since I can’t adopt them all!” says Lindsey.
