Kelsey Fernandez, KPA CTP
Kelsey is Agape’s Training Program Coordinator. Kelsey was born and raised in Georgia where her passion for animals began. Kelsey grew up riding horses, going to wildlife camp, and was always the kid bringing stray animals home. Kelsey is a graduate from the University of Georgia where she earned both a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. She is also a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner, certified Bite Prevention Educator, and a graduate of the Fear Free Shelters program.
When she is not training dogs, Kelsey enjoys reading, running, and hiking – usually with the accompaniment of her husband, son, and black lab, Francis. Kelsey’s goal through her work in animal rescue is to educate the community on responsible and compassionate pet ownership. Kelsey moved to Nashville to dive into the thriving nonprofit sector and she is thrilled to combine her knowledge and experience with non-profit organizations and force-free dog training as Agape’s Intake Coordinator and Dog Trainer.
