Jenny was born at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. Following stints at military bases in California and Japan, she settled with her family in Florida. After Jenny finished college, she worked in community relations for two minor league hockey teams and then enjoyed a long lasting 20-year career with Hilton Hotels. In 2003 Jenny moved to Nashville for her job with Hilton and was excited to leave behind the Florida Panhandle’s sweltering heat and giant bugs! She quickly realized that Middle TN has those things too, but with a better music scene and more dog parks, so she was happy to stay!
With 15 years of shelter volunteering under her belt, Jenny’s heart grew more and more towards rescue work. She made the decision to follow her heart and leave her beloved hotel career behind. This would lead her to work full-time in dog rescue. Prior to joining the Agape team, Jenny worked in development for a local senior dog rescue.
Jenny has four rescues: Jake, Callahan, Daisy Mae, and Roxy Lou, who range from nine pounds to seventy pounds. Jenny spent most of her life being a self-professed “big dog person,” until she recently fell in love with her first “little,” a senior chihuahua mix. To say the least this little pup grabbed Jenny by the heart strings. Last, but certainty not least Jenny has a husband named Rob! When not giving her all to her pups or Agape, Jenny enjoys volunteer transporting for a variety of rescues, watching true crime shows, and rooting for the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning.
